Usually I would have put the link at the bottom of the page, but this time I would like for you to watch it first. I know that the election is over. But I do believe that it is important to know what our President stands for. As our leader, he represents us to the rest of the world. Also a vote for a candidate is a vote for their beliefs and their policies.
As Christians, the economy is not supposed to be our chief concern. Although personally I would say that anybody who voted Obama for the economy really messed up. But that's not really here nor there. As Christians we know that we are not our own, we are "bought with a price." Thus it is our responsibility to seriously consider what Jesus would vote for in each election. I hate to admit it, but sometimes that does mean voting for the one who seems to be the least against God and everything he stands for.
You may not like me for writing this, but as a Christian, I can't see where God would vote for somebody who mocks the bible. I can't see him voting for somebody who would be one of only two Congressmen who voted against giving medical help to babies who survived an attempted abortion because he felt it would hurt the cause of abortion. One thing the Bible is very clear on is how much Jesus loved little children. I can only imagine how he feels about the murder of little babies.
As Christians we need to realize that not only do we not belong to ourselves, but everything we own belongs to God. Your bank account belongs to God. Your house, car, job, and even your vote belongs to God. When you take God's vote and spend it on a person who is for everything that God is against, you have misrepresented God, and robbed him of his vote.
If you have not already watched the video, I would strongly encourage you to watch it now. We hear all the time about Obama's pastor. I know Obama says he doesn't agree with his pastor, I find it hard to believe that you would keep going to a church for so many years, and ask your pastor to marry you, when you don't even agree with what he preaches from the pulpit. But that is really not what this is about. This is Obama talking. Not his pastor.
